Introduction

What does it mean to be living in poverty? Do we actually know what poverty is? Poverty, by definition, is the state of being extremely poor. Poverty is the one of those things that we can't fix. Every day, people fall in and out of poverty all across the globe. According to the World Bank Development, nearly half of the world’s population live on less than $2.50 a day. According to UNICEF, 22,00 children die each day due to poverty. Poverty has been written about over and over again. It’s been written about for children, adults, teenagers, everyone. For adults and older children, the concept of poverty is easy to understand, but for the younger ones, it can be difficult. The purpose of my blog is to give you books that talk about poverty to help children understand the whole concept.
