Summary: This book is about Mama Panya and Adika. Mama panda decides to surprise Adika by making her famous pancakes, but Adika figures out that she will be making the pancakes. As they are going to the market to get just enough ingredients with the little money that Mama Panya has, they meet their friends. Before Mama Panya can stop Adika, he invites them over for pancakes. Mama worries that they don't enough money to buy the ingredients, but Adika always says, "You'll have a little bit and a little bit more." When everyone comes to eat pancakes, Mama Panya is surprised to see what everyone brought with them. They all brought more ingredients!

Target Audience: The target audience is children ages 4 - 10 years old. I think children will like this book because they get to explore the Kenyan lifestyle. Each page has different animals and trees. The book also had Kenyan words which they can try to pronounce. There is also a recipe in the back of the book.

Evaluation: I liked this book because it is different from the other books. It depicts a different culture which I think is really cool. I think children will like this book because it is interesting.

Reader Response Activity: The activity that goes along with this book is the recipe. You can make Mama Panya's pancakes at home with the recipe provided. You are not only experiencing a different culture, but you get to taste it as well.
